The Opportunity

An exciting newly created opportunity for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a diverse property group in a strong growth phase. The role offers broad, hands-on exposure across a complex property portfolio.

This role will suit a detail-driven accountant who enjoys ownership, working across property assets and trusts, partnering with operations and leadership to deliver accurate reporting and insights.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO and working closely with operations you will oversee the end-to-end financial and trust accounting functions, ensuring strong controls, compliance, and timely reporting across multiple property entities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end financial and trust accounting across multiple property entities
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, cashflow analysis, budgets and forecasts
  • Maintain asset registers, depreciation schedules and inventory controls
  • Support annual budget preparation and forecasting
  • Provide performance analysis and portfolio-level performance analysis
  • Ensure GST, BAS, payroll tax, PAYG and trust account audit compliance
  • Manage banking facilities, trust accounts and finance-related compliance
  • Oversee AP/AR, bank transactions, pay runs and month-end close processes
  • Support operational teams with commercial insights, owner queries and fee reviews
  • Identify and implement process, system and reporting improvements
About You
You are a confident, hands-on property accountant who enjoys accountability and working across both financial and operational aspects of the business.
You will bring:
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior accounting or financial accounting role
  • Strong experience in property, trust accounting or hotel environments
  • Solid understanding of cash and accrual accounting
  • Degree qualified; CA or CPA preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
