The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of commercial property assets and be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insights to support both operational and strategic decision-making.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of commercial property assets and be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insights to support both operational and strategic decision-making.
This role will evolve over time and is well suited to a flexible, commercially minded accountant who enjoys stakeholder engagement and working in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial accuracy for a property portfolio
- Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheets, forecasts, and budgets
- Prepare management and statutory financial statements and commentary and performance insights to internal stakeholders
- Maintain financial compliance of legislative requirements and company policies.
- Manage property accounting functions including valuations, CAPEX, developments, and projects
- Maintain and reconcile lease registers
- Monitor and forecast cash flows
- Assist with property acquisitions, onboarding, and disposals
- Assist with audits and respond to audit queries
- Provide support and mentorship of junior team members
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements
To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with strong property accounting experience and a stakeholder-focused mindset.
You will bring:
- 2-5 years’ experience in property accounting (commercial, retail, or shopping centres preferred) or Big 4 audit experience with property clients
- CA or CPA qualified (or currently studying)
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles
- Experience in property, fund or investment accounting (preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with large ERP systems exposure
- Experience with MRI Property Software (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Up to $150K package (above-market remuneration)
