Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, this role will be responsible for the financial and management accounting and business partnering for a number of business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- General ledger, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Profit & loss reporting for various business units.
- Preparation of grant and financial acquittals.
- Tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
- Month end review, commentary, reporting and analysis on programs and service level agreements.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering across departments.
- Provide financial support to the transactional accounting and payroll teams.
- Drive improvements through automation and streamlined processes.
The ideal candidate will be a technically strong, CPA/CA qualified professional with over 5+ years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role.
Your Background:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- 5+ years experience in a Financial Accounting role.
- At least 3 years experience in the Not-for-Profit sector.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax legislation, and compliance requirements.
- Commercially minded with strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with government funding, grant acquittals, and audit processes.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Blue Card (Working with Children)
- Yellow Card or NDIS Workers Check (Department of Communities, Disabilities Services and Seniors)
- National Crime Check
