Construction & Property Development | Newly Created Role | Strategic HR Partnering

TalentLink are partnering exclusively with a well-established and growing construction and property development business with an expanding project pipeline and diversification in their business model. Due to continued growth, they have a newly created opportunity for an experienced Senior People & Culture Advisor to join their team.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end generalist role supporting approximately 80 employees across construction sites, project offices, maintenance teams and corporate functions. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with operational leaders, this position offers genuine influence and exposure at a senior level within the business.

About the Role
As the Senior People & Culture Advisor, you will deliver practical, commercially focused HR support across the full employee lifecycle within a fast pace construction environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Strengthen HR systems, processes and governance frameworks to drive compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Act as the primary HR advisor for construction workforce matters, providing expert guidance across employee relations and compliance.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, procedural fairness and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Lead workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary processes in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
  • Partner with Project and General Managers to develop and implement people strategies aligned to project delivery.
  • Support strategic workforce planning to meet current and upcoming project demands.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment across construction, project management and corporate functions.
  • Coordinate onboarding, site inductions and probation processes.
  • Lead implementation of a new HRIS platform, supporting change management and system adoption.
  • Contribute to employee engagement, retention and workforce development initiatives across employees and subcontractor workforces.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident and pragmatic HR professional who thrives in operational environments and enjoys partnering directly with leaders across site and corporate teams.
You will demonstrate:
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Proven generalist HR experience, ideally within construction infrastructure or blue-collar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work legislation and industrial instruments.
  • Experience managing investigations and complex employee matters.
  • Ability to balance commercial objectives with compliance and risk management.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation capability.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (Employment Hero highly regarded).
