Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you’ll play a key role in a friendly, high-performing team managing end-to-end payroll for a workforce of approx. 5,500 employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing across a variety of pay cycles (including weekly, fortnightly, and monthly) 5,500 employees nationally.
- Manage employer reporting obligations including ATO Single Touch Payroll Requirements and reporting.
- Maintain and update employee files within the payroll database and time and attendance systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service as the point of contact for payroll enquiries.
- Lodge superannuation, PAYG tax and workers compensation obligations.
- Ensure legislative changes to awards and statutory compliance updates are implemented.
- Accurately monitor and record all leave (annual, personal, long service, lieu days) accrued and taken by each employee.
- Manage the payroll system and look for opportunities of efficiency, automation and improve processes.
- Minimum 3 years of end-to-end payroll experience.
- Proven success in high-volume payroll environments.
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Great communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Enthusiastic team player with a growth mindset.
