Position Available:
The Business Improvement Lead will join a welcoming and high-performing culture - in a business focused, strategic, and value-adding role.
As the Business Improvement Lead, you will pilot the Company’s Finance Automation Team (who focus on process improvements across internal finance systems), managing projects that enhance business delivery. As the Team Leader, you will head a team of 5 staff and utilise your expertise to push key initiatives, uncover opportunities for streamlining, and business partner with IT teams to identify and implement solutions.
This hands-on role is focused on the automation process - improving middle office systems - that remove/reduce manual finance related processes.
Key Duties will include:
- Project related duties that will focus on process improvements and automation across multiple finance systems.
- Project outcomes, progress, risks and escalations – reporting and documenting procedures.
- Work with internal/external stakeholders to understand project needs, requirements, outcomes and plan delivery.
- Data analysis, and presenting data to relevant parties.
- Support new operational and finance system implementation when needed.
- Assist and train finance and accounting team members on how to use the system.
About you:
The Business Improvement Lead will have strong attention to detail and be skilled in finding efficiencies and opportunities for streamlining processes. You will identify suitable automation solutions with the aim of centralising these finance processes.
The ideal person for the role will be a motivated and social corporate professional. Someone who is commercially astute, with clear understanding of projects and a passion for business improvement.
Key requirements:
- 4+ years or more proven professional work experience in a similar role.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
- Self-motivated and disciplined, used to working independently.
- Commercial experience managing end to end projects.
- Used to successfully utilising IT systems and frameworks to support project.
- Track record in leading teams.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Innovative with exceptional communication skills.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
