Position Overview
We are seeking an Accounts Lead to lead a team of accounts officers, providing hands-on support and guidance across day-to-day finance operations. You’ll be responsible for managing the full function of Accounts Payable and Receivable, overseeing payments, invoicing, and collections. The role also includes managing reconciliations, preparing management reports, and supporting month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Manage supplier invoicing, payment runs (fortnightly) and monitor debtor accounts.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage reporting requirements for QBCC.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly BAS/IAS returns.
  • Act as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders, maintaining strong vendor and client relationships.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system efficiencies.
  • Perform ad hoc accounting tasks as required.

About You
You are a confident finance professional with leadership experience and a passion for the property industry. You enjoy developing team members and are ready to grow with a company.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and support team members.
  • Solid understanding of transactional finance and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of QBCC project trust account requirements.
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, journal posting, accruals, and BAS/IAS preparation.
  • Quick to adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Experience using Jobpac (preferred).
