TalentLink have been retained to assist a boutique property developer in their search for an experienced Company Accountant. Our client is a future focused company who invest in long-life, high-quality assets across South East Queensland. They invest their own capital to develop and operate the exceptional assets they construct, focusing on a mix of high quality commercial and residential developments.

Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be responsible for a broad remit of finance functions from overseeing transactional accounting, Month-End Procedures and end-to-end accounting for multiple entities. This role is ideal for an experienced an Assistant Accountant or Accountant who wants to gain broad accounting experience within the property sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Corporate and transaction financial processing- including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling bank accounts and cashflow management.
- Loan and intercompany reconciliations.
- Subcontractor management and payments.
- WIP claims, retentions and month-end reconciliations.
- Balance sheet and profit and loss reporting.
- Monthly and quarterly BAS/GST/Tax and compliance reporting.
- Assist with business related activity such as Insurance, QBCC reporting and annual audit.
- Support the CFO with the running of the office.
About You:
You will be a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, showcasing initiative and readiness to hit the ground running.
Ideally you will have:
- 5+ years professional work experience in an Assistant Accountant or Accountant role.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor of Accounting (Or currently studying).
- Experience in property/construction sector using Jobpac software highly regarded.
- A positive attitude with a desire to work in a close team environment and take ownership of the accounting function.
- Excellent time management skills, adept at handling competing priorities.
- Intermediate Excel.
