We're partnering with a well-established and growing mining organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to oversee the end-to-end payroll function in an international capacity.

Leading a small, high-performing team, you'll ensure payroll is delivered accurately, compliantly and on time while driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and mentor a collaborative payroll team, with 3 direct reports.
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll function across multiple entities.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements and taxation requirements.
  • Review payroll calculations, reconciliations and reporting.
  • Drive payroll process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support audits, reporting and statutory obligations.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to deliver seamless payroll operations.
  • Resolve complex payroll queries and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
About You You'll be a confident payroll leader who enjoys developing people while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
You'll bring:
  • Proven experience leading an end-to-end payroll function.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
  • Experience using payroll systems such as Pronto, Ramco or similar ERP platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and passion for delivering outstanding payroll outcomes.
