We're currently partnering with a leading global mining company to recruit an ITGC Controls Officer to join their growing technology team based in Brisbane.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in IT Audit, Technology Risk, IT Controls or IT Governance to take ownership of an organisation's IT General Controls (ITGC) framework while working closely with IT, Finance and external auditors.

About the Role
 
Reporting to the IT leadership team, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the IT General Controls framework, ensuring controls are effective, audit requirements are met, and compliance obligations are maintained across the business.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working across both technology and the business, has exceptional attention to detail, and is passionate about governance, risk, compliance and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the IT General Controls (ITGC) framework.
  • Coordinate logical access, user provisioning and privileged access reviews.
  • Support SOX compliance and external audit activities.
  • Prepare and maintain audit-ready evidence and documentation.
  • Monitor and improve controls across change management, computer operations and access management.
  • Identify control gaps and coordinate remediation activities through to completion.
  • Work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Support governance, risk and compliance initiatives across enterprise applications and ERP platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement across IT governance processes and controls.
About You
  
We're looking for someone with experience in IT Audit, Technology Risk, IT Controls or IT Governance who enjoys building relationships and ensuring strong governance across enterprise technology environments.

You'll ideally bring experience with:
  • IT General Controls (ITGC)
  • SOX or similar compliance frameworks
  • IT Audit or Technology Risk
  • User access management and change management controls
  • ERP environments such as Pronto, SAP, Oracle or TechnologyOne
  • Preparing audit evidence and supporting internal and external audits
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a process-driven mindse
