The Opportunity:
Reporting to the CEO and overseeing office management and financial processes - this is an exciting opportunity that will have significant impact on the broader organisation, supporting senior leadership and developing/leading a dynamic and established finance team.

As the Financial Controller, you will have responsibility for financial operations and leadership across all aspects of the company.  This senior leadership position will drive financial performance whilst ensuring compliance and delivering financial support to key stakeholders within the business.

The work environment is dynamic and ever-evolving, so the Financial Controller is pivotal in leading the finance team through changes to business structures and reporting - driving business process improvements and providing financial guidance.

Key duties:
  • This is a hands-on role responsible for all financial operations.
  • Management of a small technically strong Finance Team, providing controllership support to all lines of business.
  • Responsible for month end process and reporting.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting for the group liaising with various business units.
  • Group cashflow management and reporting.
  • Overseeing the delivery of Statutory Accounts, Audit and Tax compliance and reporting timeframes.
  • Complex Accounting - AFSL Licensing requirements and compliance.
  • Improve business analysis and insights and business partnering with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and change management to the team in systems and process improvements including upgrades and integrations.
  
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will be a technically strong, fully CPA/CA qualified accounting professional - a finance leader with a drive and passion to continue honing those leadership skills in a supportive and professional environment.

Key skills/experience required:
  • Fully CPA/CA qualified, with 3-5 years or more post-qualification experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience of technical accounting standards.
  • Natural problem-solving skills, motivated and willing to help find solutions.
  • Strong skills set in change management and ability to multitask and pivot to new priorities when required.
  • A natural leader who leads by example, can motivate and inspire others to perform.
