Are you an experienced Credit Officer who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and keeping accounts on track?
We are currently partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Credit Officer to join their Brisbane-based finance team on a fixed-term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a busy and collaborative environment where you will take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, manage collections and overdue debt, resolve customer queries and play an important role in reducing credit risk across the business.
The role Reporting to the Credit Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing the collection of overdue accounts and following up outstanding debt
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Resolving customer account queries efficiently and professionally
  • Processing and managing payment allocations
  • Completing account reconciliations
  • Identifying and proactively escalating potential credit risks
  • Providing weekly and monthly commentary on overdue accounts
  • Working closely with Sales Representatives, Management and the wider Credit team
  • Liaising with external customers, distributors and debt collection agencies where required
  • Supporting other members of the finance team and sharing knowledge
About you We are looking for someone who brings:
  • Strong experience in Credit Control, ideally 5+ years
  • Previous experience working within an FMCG or high-volume environment
  • Strong SAP experience
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • A proactive approach to collections and resolving account issues
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to build strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders
