Are you an Accountant who wants to do more than sit behind a ledger?
This is an opportunity to step into a role where your numbers directly influence some of Brisbane and the Gold Coast’s most exciting property and construction projects.

We’re partnering with a highly regarded, design-led property and construction business known for delivering premium developments, exceptional design and a genuinely high standard of work.
As the Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and project teams, playing a key role in keeping the financial side of multiple projects accurate, controlled and commercially sharp.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership, have visibility across the numbers and understand how the financial performance of a project comes together from start to finish.

What you’ll be doing
  • Managing job cost accounting across development and construction projects
  • Monitoring budgets vs actuals and assisting with cost-to-complete and cash flow forecasting
  • Supporting month-end, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations across WIP, creditors, retention, GST and intercompany
  • Supporting monthly management and project financial reporting
  • Assisting with GST/BAS, audit and statutory reporting
  • Processing and reviewing supplier, subcontractor and consultant invoices
  • Working closely with Project Managers and Contract Administrators to resolve coding, approval and invoice queries
  • Monitoring project costs and ensuring financial data is accurate across multiple systems
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with reporting, banking, project cost reviews and process improvement
What we’re looking for You’ll ideally bring 3+ years’ experience within accounting or assistant accounting, preferably across construction, property development or another project-based environment.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Understands job costing, WIP and project accounting
  • Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in getting the numbers right
  • Can confidently work with Project Managers, Contract Administrators and external stakeholders
  • Is comfortable juggling multiple projects, deadlines and priorities
  • Has intermediate Excel skills
  • Holds a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Is working towards, or interested in pursuing, CA/CPA
  • Has experience with Jobpac — highly desirable
